Effective

Caster Plus is an Android app made by Joza Solutions LLC (“we”). It mirrors your phone’s screen and sound to a TV you choose, and plays videos you choose on that TV. This policy explains what the app touches, where it goes, and what we keep.

The short version: nothing is sent to us. The app sends things only to the TV you pick. There is no account, no analytics, no ads and no servers of ours.

What the app uses, and why

What When Where it goes
Your screen (Android’s screen-sharing prompt) Only while you mirror, after you approve Android’s prompt Straight to the TV you picked, over your Wi-Fi, encrypted from your phone to that TV
Sound that apps are playing (“Record audio” permission) Only while mirroring with “Send sound to the TV” on. The microphone is never used Straight to the TV you picked, encrypted
A video, audio file or link you share with the app Only when you use “Send to TV” To that one TV over your Wi-Fi. The file’s name is shown on the TV as its title. For a link, the TV downloads it from that website
Your local network (“Nearby devices” permission) To find TVs and connect to them Stays on your network
Your phone’s model name and a random ID the app creates When connecting to a TV To that TV, so it can show who is connecting and remember the pairing
Notifications (optional) While casting, a notification with Stop and Pause On your phone only

The app can’t browse your photos or files. It only sees the one item you share with it. It does not record, save or upload your screen, sound or videos.

Anyone who can see the TV sees your screen, including notifications that pop up while you mirror. Mirror a single app instead of the whole screen to share less. Apps that protect their content (such as paid streaming services) show up black and silent; the app doesn’t get around that.

What is stored, and for how long

On your phone: the pairing keys for TVs you’ve paired with (so you enter a TV’s code only once), your settings, and TVs you added by address. They stay in the app’s private storage, are left out of backups, and are deleted when you uninstall the app. The app keeps no usage logs. Android’s own system log on your phone may hold technical error messages; they leave your phone only if you send us a bug report.

With us:

  • If you email us, we get your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply, and delete it 12 months after the last message, or sooner if you ask.
  • Google Play gives us a record of each purchase: order number, date, price and country, but not your name or card. We keep it as long as tax law requires.

Security

  • Mirroring is encrypted from your phone to the TV. Before sending anything, the app checks the TV is the device it claims to be: an Apple or AirPlay TV through the pairing you confirmed with its on-screen code, and a Google Cast device through Google’s device certificates.
  • Send to TV runs a small file server on your phone only while a video plays. Only the TV you picked can connect, and the link is random and stops working when playback ends. The transfer itself isn’t encrypted on your Wi-Fi, like any media server on a home network, so use it on networks you trust.
  • Pairing keys stay in the app’s private storage on your phone.

Other companies

  • Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy. It gives us sales figures and, if your phone shares diagnostics with Google, anonymous crash reports.
  • Your TV and its maker’s software handle what the TV shows under their own policies. Some TVs can analyse what’s on screen; check your TV’s privacy settings.
  • Websites. For a link you send to the TV, the TV downloads the video from that website.

We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t track you across apps or websites. Do Not Track signals change nothing, because there is no tracking to turn off.

Google Play’s data safety section

Google Play’s form lists videos and audio as “collected” because Send to TV moves your file across your Wi-Fi to your TV. It never reaches us.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of anything we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. In the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. We have no record of how you use the app; we would hand over emails or purchase records only if the law requires it.

Children

Caster Plus is meant for adults and is not directed at children. If a child has emailed us, tell us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If an update would send anything new off your phone, the app will tell you first.
